Used Teknion Cubicles, Installed and Working: What a Finished GTA Installation Actually Looks Like (2026)

Most cubicle photos online show one of two things: rows of panels stacked in a warehouse, or a glossy rendering that no real office ever matches. Neither tells you what you are actually buying. A finished installation does. When panels are level, power is live at the worksurface, and staff can sit down and work on Monday morning, you can judge quality properly. At Ufficio Furniture, used Teknion cubicles start from $495 CAD per station, delivered and installed across the GTA. Browse the range at https://www.ufficiofurniture.com/office-cubicles and https://www.ufficiofurniture.com.

What "Finished" Actually Means

Finished is a specific checklist, not a feeling. Panels stand straight and level, with no lean and no gaps at the connectors. Worksurfaces sit flat and secure, pedestals slide freely, and overhead or under-surface storage is hung properly. Every surface is wiped down, packaging and offcuts are gone, and the floor is left clean enough for staff to walk straight in.

The test we use is simple: could someone bring a laptop, a monitor and a coffee, sit down, and start work without calling anyone? If the answer is yes at every station, the installation is finished. If a cable is missing, a panel wobbles, or a drawer sticks, it is not finished yet, no matter how good the floor looks from the doorway.

Power Live at the Worksurface

Power is where unfinished installations usually give themselves away. Teknion stations run power through a base raceway along the bottom of the panels, which keeps cords off the floor and outlets within reach of the worksurface. In a finished job, those in-panel outlets are live, tested, and positioned where the desk setup actually needs them — not hidden behind a pedestal or left dead at the end of a run.

That matters for planning. Powered base raceways let a whole row share a clean, organized feed instead of a tangle of extension cords and power bars. When you walk a finished floor, look down: tidy bases, no loose cables crossing walkways, and an outlet at every station are the signs the electrical work was treated as part of the job, not an afterthought.

Matching Stations Across the Whole Floor

A finished floor also looks like one office, not several deliveries stitched together. Panels match in fabric and finish, worksurfaces match in laminate, and stations repeat at the same size and height so the room reads as a single plan. That consistency is hard to achieve when cubicles are bought a few at a time from different sources.

Depth of stock solves it. Our Teknion Leverage station measures 72 inches by 72 inches, stands 51 inches high in its quad configuration, includes one pedestal, and is priced at $650 CAD per station, with about 500 stations in stock. Stock at that level means a larger GTA office can be furnished from one matching batch, and more matching stations can be added later without the floor drifting out of sync.

Why an Installed Floor Beats Warehouse Rows

Warehouse rows are useful for checking panel condition, fabric wear and connector hardware up close, and we encourage buyers to inspect stock in person. But rows cannot show you sightlines, light, noise, or how a 72-by-72 station actually feels to sit in. An installed floor can. You see how much privacy the panel height gives, how the layout handles traffic, and whether the space feels cramped or calm.

That is why finished installations are the fairest way to judge used cubicles. Used does not mean tired — a well-kept Teknion system, professionally installed, looks and works like a planned office because it is one. The savings come from buying the system second-hand, not from cutting corners on the setup.

See It, Then Plan Your Own Floor

If you are planning a move, expansion or refit, start with your headcount, your floor dimensions and whether each station needs power, then work backwards to a layout. We can help with that planning, supply matching Teknion stations, and deliver and install across the GTA so the finished result is what you were shown, not an approximation of it.
